Most browsers bury privacy controls under layers of menus, and the labels rarely explain what's really happening. Here's a plain-language breakdown of the options you'll encounter — and which ones are worth your attention.
Block Third-Party Cookies
This is the single most effective privacy toggle available to most users. A third-party cookie is placed on your device not by the site you're visiting, but by an advertising or data-brokerage service embedded in that page. Blocking them significantly reduces cross-site tracking — the practice of following you around the web to build an advertising profile. Do Not Track

HTTPS-Only Mode
